The Christmas stamp features details from Bachiaca's oil and gold painting Madonna and the Child, which dates back to the early 1520s and depicts the child wrapped around a bouquet of jasmine, a symbol of divine love, as well as the side, left shoulder and right hand of the Virgin Mary.
Five centuries ago, the Italian Renaissance painter Francesco d'Ubertino Verdi (1494-1557), known as Bachiacca, proved himself a versatile and popular Florentine artist. Today, his work still vividly evokes the timeless traditions of Christmas.

The description was very clear about these stamps being completely random and they weren't lying. It's July and I got some ugly Renaissance themed Christmas stamps, but they are indeed Forever stamps and will achieve the intended objective of sending mail. So as long as you don't care at all about the design and would rather skip a post office trip, these are for you.

I was pleasantly surprised to end up with pretty bonsai trees. But only order if you need basic postage and you’re okay with plain flags, a seasonal design or anything else random.
